Clarification Text on the Processing of Personal Data

Data Controller: As Denef Home, we have prepared this text to inform you about the processing, storage, and transfer of your personal data within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) No. 6698.

1. Personal Data Collected

During your use of our site and shopping, the following personal data is processed:

  • Identity data: First name, last name
  • Contact data: Email address, phone number, delivery and billing address
  • Financial data: Order amount, payment method (payment information itself is not stored)
  • Transaction data: Order history, return requests
  • Technical data: IP address, browser information, cookie data

2. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Receiving, processing, and delivering orders
  • Executing payment transactions
  • Managing return and exchange processes
  • Providing customer service and support
  • Fulfilling legal obligations (tax, invoicing, etc.)
  • Establishing and performing the contractual relationship
  • If explicit consent is given: marketing communication, campaign notifications

3. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

  • KVKK Art. 5/2-c: Directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract
  • KVKK Art. 5/2-ç: Fulfillment of a legal obligation
  • KVKK Art. 5/2-e: Establishment, exercise or protection of a right
  • KVKK Art. 5/1: Explicit consent (for marketing activities)

4. Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may only be shared with the following parties and for the stated purposes:

  • Cargo companies: Name, surname, and address information for delivery purposes
  • Payment infrastructure (Shopify Payments): For securely completing payment transactions
  • Legal authorities: Relevant institutions and organizations in cases mandated by law

Your personal data is not sold or shared for third-party advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Retention Period of Personal Data

Your personal data is stored for the period required by the processing purpose and within the scope of relevant legal obligations. Order and invoice information is retained for 10 years due to legal requirements. Upon expiration of this period or cessation of the processing purpose, your data is deleted or anonymized.

6. Your Rights Under KVKK

Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the following rights:

  • To learn whether your personal data is processed
  • To request information if it has been processed
  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose
  • To know the third parties to whom it is transferred domestically or abroad
  • To request correction if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed
  • To request its deletion or destruction
  • To object to the emergence of a result against you through automatic systems
  • To demand compensation for damages suffered due to unlawful processing

7. Application Method

To exercise your rights, you can reach us through the following channels:

Your application must clearly state your name, surname, contact information, and the subject of your request. Applications are answered within a maximum of 30 days.
